It’s always WILD. For months President Trump has been lobbying against a national “vote by mail” system for the Presidential election.
Today, Florida gets a pass. In a tweet, The President credited Florida, specifically its Republican Governor leadership, for ‘cleaning up’ the system.
Trump encouraged Floridians to vote by mail in the 2020 election.
Since the tweet, The President has explained that some states just can’t handle a “Vote by Mail” scenario, using Nevada as an example.
I have to believe that Trump does have confidence in Florida’s system, also, it’s obvious that Florida’s Virus surge had to have something to do with the decision.
Going back, mid-pandemic, it’s pretty interesting that some states (the one’s that Trump would not support a mail-in system) had plenty of infrastructure to send out mail-in ballot request forms, but were unable to get so many of their residents unemployment requests processed. Pretty easy to wonder why/how that was a bigger priority?
