A WEAK WEEK ONE!
What’s bananas is that so many more people are home, working from home and have plenty more time to consume media.
Even more bananas is that, for the first time, Nielsen is counting out-of-home viewership in this formula. Meaning: If you’re a ratings panelist and you watch the game at a bar, it will count. This aspect alone, should have BLOWN last season’s #’s away, and every other season too, bc it’s a new flash-point to count audience.
So, why did the TB/NO and GB/MN match-ups score so high? As much as politics has hurt The NFL, there are pocket players that may have some specific support of specific psychographics. I explain in the video:
